• Stereolithography (SLA)

SLA uses a UV laser to cure liquid resin into hardened plastic in a layer-by-layer process. It is known for producing high-resolution parts with smooth surface finishes.

Applications: Prototyping, Dental models, Jewelry, High-detail models

  • Selective Laser Sintering (SLS)

SLS uses a laser to sinter powdered material, binding it together to create a solid structure. This method is known for producing durable, functional parts. SLS parts are strong but have a slightly rough finish due to the powdery nature of the process.

Applications: Functional prototypes, End-use parts, Complex geometries, Durable components

  • Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM)

FDM extrudes thermoplastic filament layer by layer to create parts. It is widely used for its affordability and versatility. FDM parts often have visible layer lines and may require post-processing for a smoother finish.

Applications: Prototypes, Simple parts, Functional end-use parts, Low-cost models

  • Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) / Selective Laser Melting (SLM)

DMLS/SLM uses a laser to sinter or melt metal powder into a solid structure. These technologies are known for producing complex metal parts with high strength and precision. The metal parts are high-strength with a good surface finish but may require machining.

Applications: Aerospace, Medical implants, Automotive, High-performance parts

  • Multi Jet Fusion (MJF)

MJF uses a fusing agent to selectively melt powder particles and create parts layer by layer. It is known for producing strong, detailed parts with smooth finishes.

Applications: Prototyping, Functional parts, Complex geometries, Small to medium-sized batches

  • Digital Light Synthesis (DLS)

DLS uses digital light processing technology to cure liquid resin into solid parts with a high level of detail and excellent surface finishes. DLS parts have excellent surface quality and detail, with minimal visible layers.

Applications: Prototypes, Medical devices, Dental models, Consumer products
